Wimbledon 2005, Day 9
Andy Roddick was made to fight hard for his semi-final place.
Frenchman Sebastien Grosjean, who reached the last four in each of the last two years, gave U.S. second seed Roddick a real fright in their quarter-final on Centre Court before the second seed came through 3-6, 6-2, 6-1, 3-6, 6-3.
Despite the see-saw nature of the match Roddick said: "I stayed on a pretty even keel throughout the match.
"It was a big one for me to get through. I feel like I really needed a result like this and I'd love to take it a step or two further."
