Lindsay Davenport showed little mercy as she demolished fellow American Jamea Jackson 6-0 6-3 to reach the Wimbledon third round.
"I thought I started off really well. Was up 6-0 1-0 very quickly," said Davenport, who has so far dropped only five games in total in her two matches.
A potential fourth-round showdown with 15th seed Kim Clijsters awaits if they both win on Friday and the Belgian will be gunning for revenge after being stunned by Davenport at the same stage in Roland Garros last month.
