6 killed in road accident near Shivpuri

Six people were killed and four injured -- two of them seriously -- when a speeding truck rolled down a deep ravine near Shivpuri on the Rishikesh-Badrinath national highway, 94 kilometres from Srinagar, on Sunday night.

The police said the ill-fated truck was on its way to Rishikesh from Garhwal.

Five of the six bodies have been identified so far. The dead includes the driver. The injured have been admitted to a civil hospital in Rishikesh.
