10 Nagas killed in Kuki attack
Ten Naga villagers, including seven women, were killed when suspected Kuki militants burnt 20 houses of the Bram Naga village, 70 km west of the Kangpokpi police station of Senapati district early on Friday morning, the police said.
Suspected Kuki militants surrounded the Naga village and fired several rounds towards the village before setting it ablaze.
When the villagers tried to come out from their burning houses the militants fired on them, killing three men, two women and five girls.
The Manipur government has sounded a red alert and has asked all security forces and the army to monitor the situation.
