Five drowned as boat capsizes in Bihar

At least five people were feared drowned when a boat capsized in the Gandak river near Batred village under Barauli block of Gopalganj district, Bihar.

Official sources said the accident occurred as the boat was overloaded. Of the 25 people on board, 20 managed to swim ashore. Only two bodies have been fished out.

The victims, mostly labourers, were on way to Batred from Barauli.
