7 killed as train collides with tractor

Seven people were killed and 11 injured when a passenger train collided with a tractor-trolley at an unmanned railway crossing between Kaithal and Behwa road stations in Haryana.

Railway sources said the accident occurred on Monday, 1830 hours, when the Kurukshetra-Narwana train hit the tractor-trolley which was crossing the tracks. All the victims were travelling on the trolley. Four of them died on the spot, while three succumbed to injuries at the Thaneshwar Civil hospital.
