Pak shells kill two more civilians in Kashmir

After the Mowgam sector, it is Keran which has fallen prey to Pakistan's 'heavy, unprovoked firing' along the Line of Control in Kashmir.
Artillery firing which, defence spokesmen say, had been continuing there since August 4 claimed two civilians -- sisters -- and injured five in village Modianana this weekend.
The dead have been identified as Nahida and Seenia Bano. The injured are Riyaz Ahmad, Nafees Ahmad, Shahzada and Mohammad Abdullah.
Official sources said the government will provide ex-gratia relief to the next of kin of those killed.
Meanwhile, intermittent small arms firing continued
in Tangdar and Karnah sectors of Kupwara district and Nowgam in Barramullah.
The situation on the LoC in Kargil sector, however, was peaceful.
The troops continue to be on maximum alert all along the LoC.
