New BJP chief to be elected in November
A three-day Bharatiya Janata Party plenary session will be held at Kanpur from November 17 to 19.
Before the plenary session, the party will have a two-day
national executive meeting on November 15 and 16, party general
secretary Govindacharya told the media.
The plenary will, among things, elect a successor to BJP
president L K Advani who will complete his second two-year
term in office -- the maximum allowed in the BJP constitution.
Organisational elections are in progress and will be completed
by October 31.
