RJD-Congress pact in Bihar

The Rashtriya Janata Dal, led by former Bihar chief minister Laloo Prasad Yadav, plans to forge an electoral understanding with the Congress.

The decision has been taken to ensure that the Bharatiya Janata Party does not wrest power in the state.

According to RJD working president Ranjan Prasad Yadav, the party was ready ''to wage a war against communalism which was once again trying to raise its ugly head''.
