6 burnt alive in Bihar

Six people of a family were burnt alive by a group of criminals at Jayanagar market in Madhubani district, Bihar, on Thursday night.

Official sources said the deceased included a pregnant woman and five children.

Sources said one person, who sustained burn injuries, has been rushed to the Darbhanga medical college hospital in a critical condition.

Protesting against the incident, the Bharatiya Janata Party called for a bandh on Friday, which had a wide impact. All shops and academic institutions remained closed.
