Country brew claims nine in Assam

Nine people, including the owner of an illegal liquor shop, died after consuming country liquor at Chowkidinghee area of Dibrugarh town, officials reports said on Friday.

Two others, who also consumed the same brew, were struggling for life at the Assam Medical College Hospital. A magisterial inquiry has been ordered into the incident, the reports added.
