Centre allots two fibre optic lines to AP

The Centre has allotted two fibre optic lines to Andhra Pradesh.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said the lines will be used to get instant information from various district, mandal and taluka offices. However, in the first phase, only the district headquarters will be covered.

Claiming that the facility was being used for the first time in the country, Naidu said the lines will allow instant exchange of information between various offices. Even face-to-face communication and video conferences will be possible, he added.
