Eight killed as van collides with truck

Eight persons were killed and 15 others injured on Thursday when the van in which they were travelling collided with a truck near Morva village, about 80 km from Ahmedabad.

According to police sources, the ill-fated van was on its way to a village in Surendranagar district from Naroda near Ahmedabad.

The injured were admitted to Limbdai hospital where the condition of three of them was stated to be serious.

The dead including the driver of the van were yet to be identified, the sources added.
