Jailer hacked to death in Madurai

An assistant jailer of the Madurai central jail was hacked to death by three unidentified men before the jail on Friday afternoon.

City Police Commissioner P L Viswanathan said the killers, who arrived on a moped, waylaid the assistant jailer who was returning from his home after lunch and hacked him to death.
