7 killed in Rajasthan mishaps
Seven people were killed in different accidents in Rajasthan on Tuesday.
Five people were killed on the spot and as many injured in a collision between a jeep and a truck near Bhopalsagar village in Chittorgarh district.
The ill-fated jeep was carrying 10 people from the Srinathji shrine in Nathdwara to Kapasan town in the district.
The injured have been admitted to the government hospital at Kapasan,
the police said.
In another incident, two persons were washed away when their bus fell into Bandhi river near Kulthana village in Pali district. The bus was carrying 26 passengers.
Meanwhile, one youth was electrocuted in Pali town when he came
in contact with a broken wire. With this, the death toll in rain-related mishaps in the state during the current monsoon season has gone up to 43.
Life in several towns in the state remained disrupted due to
heavy rain for the fifth successive day on Wednesday.
