8 killed as rains lash Rajasthan

As many as eight people were killed and six others injured in Rajasthan as heavy rains disrupted life in a number of towns in the state.

Reports said that six of the eight people died in Sanchore town of Jalore district when a house collapsed. The victims came from Gujarat and had taken shelter in the house as it was raining.

The other two deaths were reported from Jaipur and Bikaner districts. With this, the death toll in rain-related mishaps in the state during the current season has gone up to 28.
