16 killed in HP truck mishap

Sixteen people were killed when a truck carrying them fell into a gorge at Pangmo, 28 km from Kaza in Himachal Pradesh on Friday night.

Fourteen died on the spot. One died on the way to the hospital while another succumbed to injuries at a hospital in Kaza. The dead include a woman and a child. Seven policemen are suspected to be among the dead.

The truck was loaded with empty LPG cylinders.
