Congress to move no-trust vote against Delhi govt

The Congress will move a no-confidence motion against the Bharatiya Janata Party government in Delhi.

The decision has been taken because of the state government's ''all-round failure'' and Chief Minister Sahib Singh Verma's ''political speech'' at the Independence Day function.

Jag Parvesh Chandra, leader of the Opposition in the assembly, demanded the chief minister's resignation. Sahib Singh should also apologise for trying to get political mileage out of the jubilee celebrations, he said.

The assembly session, which begins on August 26, is likely to be stormy in view of the Congress's stand.
