He reiterated, "It's great for America because we want a growing economy in India because working together as the world's two largest democracies -- the United States and India -- we can work together better than ever before. So, this is a big week for Indian-Americans."
Wilson also lauded Louisiana Governor Piyush 'Bobby' Jindal for showing that Indian Americans, beyond their entrepreneurial success, could also be 'politically capable'.
"We saw tragically the consequences of Hurricane Katrina three years ago in Louisiana," he recalled.
"There's been a sea-change. The change is the election of Bobby Jindal as Governor. He has served with distinction in leading the people of Louisiana, providing the leadership, saving lives, providing for the consciousness and the security of the people of Louisiana," he added.
