'Each leader should take cue from Che'

October 9, 2007
Sharath C A, 21
Engineering student

Well what do I say about this man? I could go on speaking an entire day about him.

Although I am a staunch follower of the Gandhian principal, I am firmly of the belief that we need leaders like Che today.

This is because the Gandhian principal of peace may not work too well in today's world. I feel that each leader -- especially in India -- should take a cue from Che.

We as fans should do more than just sporting Che T-shirts and ear studs. His fight against capitalism has never been understood by many.

He is seen as a dope model or a violent leader.

However the more we read about Che, it becomes more and more evident that the man had a vision right into the future. No matter what people say about him, I still feel that he is the greatest man who walked this earth.

He is the ideal youth icon and each one us should follow in his foot steps irrespective of whichever country we are from.
