How the UK police nailed Dhiren Barot

November 10
The most intriguing part is how a Hindu boy turned to Islam and came under influence of jihadi elements.

The Gujarati community in the United Kingdom is stunned and silent. His distressed parents are not meeting anyone since the day he was arrested.

A source in London who knew the Barot family told rediff.com that Manubhai Barot, was originally from Rajkot while Bharti belongs to Baroda in Gujarat. They migrated to the UK in 1973 when Dhiren was just two.

Manubhai migrated from Nairobi where he was a banker and Bharti joined him from Gujarat. Their initial years in UK were not smooth and both had to pass through difficult times.

Despite his banking background, Manubhai was not able to find a suitable job and had to take up a labour job in a factory. Bharti was employed at a departmental store.
