A P J Kalam in the Philippines

President Kalam also visited the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology Studies (Phivolcs) in Quezon City and experienced a 'simulated temblor.' The simulator executed vertical and horizontal movements to give the president an experience of a major earthquake.

Later, he interacted with volcano and seismology experts, who briefed him about research work undertaken by them.
