The families said they the medals should be placed in the National Museum until Mohammed Afzal, who has been convicted in the case, is executed.
Meanwhile, Afzal has moved the Supreme Court seeking review of the judgment saying that he did not a get fair trial. In his curative petition, Afzal contended that Article 21 (Right to Life) of the Constitution is inviolable. The petition was filed through senior lawyer Kamini Jaiswal.
And both Houses of Parliament on Wednesday remembered the security personnel who were killed while defending the Parliament in the December 13 terror attack in 2001.
Bharatiya Janata Party's Lok Sabha members demanded that Mohammad Afzal Guru, convicted of being the brain behind the attack, be hanged immediately.
