Telangana Rashtra Samiti Chief and Union Labour Minister K Chandrasekara Rao and his party colleague in the United Progressive Alliance government A Narendra quit the ministry on Tuesday.Parliamentary Affairs Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi said TRS leader K Chandrashekhar Rao, who is pressing for early action on creation of separate state of Telengana, has given an assurance that he would remain a part of the United Progressive Alliance.
TRS members on Wednesday obstructed the proceedings of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, forcing its adjournment for the day.
Rao began an indefinite hunger strike on later that day to press his party's demand for a separate state of Telangana to be carved out of Andhra Pradesh.
The Telangana Rashtra Samithi members stalled the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly for the second day on Thursday, forcing the Speaker to adjourn the House for the day without transacting any business. Disturbances caused the adjoyrnment of the House till Monday again on Friday.
