Condoleezza Rice, the fashion icon
August 3, 2006
Vanity Fair also attributes the 'audacious streak' to a pair of 'black dominatrix boots' she wore in Germany – which is abundantly clear in the photograph. The magazine says the nearly knee-high boots, which Rice wore when she arrived at the Wiesbaden Army Airfield in February last year, 'kicked up an international controversy.'
As an aside, Rice's name comes from an expression used in music, which means 'with sweetness.'
