At 37, Jharkhand's Arjun Munda is the youngest chief minister in the country. When he first became chief minister of Jharkhand in March 2003, he was only 35, but still not the youngest chief minister ever. To know who that was, read on.

Chhattisgarh, another new state, is not doing too badly either. Its Chief Minister Raman Singh will turn 53 on October 15, a relatively young CM.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Babulal Gaur is among the elder set, having turned 75 on June 2.

Uttar Pradesh's Mulayam Singh will turn 66 on November 22, never mind speculation if he will remain chief minister till then.
