Rajendran and Rajni are inspecting what remains of their fishing net, their source of livelihood till two weeks ago.

"No, it's of no use," they shrug as they struggle to unravel the mangled bundle. "I used to get catches worth Rs 1000 on some days. This was my lucky net. ... Anyway, it doesn't matter. We are alive and we will survive. Yesterday, somebody went to the sea and came back with a huge catch. I wish I could go to. But unless we have the means, how will we survive?"

However, it seems the days of fear, tears and anxiety are over. The overriding feeling now is that of impatience. All of them want to go back to the sea and to normalcy.
