On Wednesday, Israeli troops dragged sobbing Jewish settlers out of homes, synagogues and even a nursery school and hauled them onto buses in a massive evacuation, fulfilling Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's promise to withdraw from the Gaza Strip after a 38-year occupation.

Indians in the Neveh Dekalim settlement of Gaza Strip said they had 'accepted their fate' and were ready to leave as thousands of Israeli security forces entered the area to evict Jewish settlers who refused to move out voluntarily.
