Jeetendra has been in the Bollywood for about four decades and is best known for his unique dancing style.

After leaving the running of his successful television production company in the able hands of his wife and daughter, he has decided to utilise the ample time on his hands to help the BJP retain power.

He had earlier campaigned for former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Digvijay Singh of the Congress party and the BJP's Vinod Khanna. "It was only due to my friendship with them (that I campaigned for Singh and Khanna)."

His heart is in the BJP. "This will be for the first time that I will be campaigning for a political party. I will wholeheartedly campaign for the BJP under the leadership of Vajpayee. I do not want a position nor am I interested to contest elections. I only want to contribute to the nation's development," he said.
