After enjoying the hospitality of his devotees for 10 days, Lord Ganesha bids adieu to millions amid traditional grandeur and modern-day security.

One of the most prominent Ganapati idols in the city is 'Lalbaugcha Raja' or the King of Lalbaug. Lalbaug is a lower middle class quarter of Mumbai, dominated by mill workers and other labourers.

Starting out early on Tuesday morning, the procession bearing the Lord will make its way through various Mumbai areas, from Saat Rasta to Byculla onto Agripada. From there it will travel via Nagpada, Do Taanki, Bhendi Bazar, Girgaum, finally reaching Chowpatty for the immersion in the early hours of Wednesday.
