Reasons: A clean, honest and sincere personality, who did a near perfect responsible job when acting as Chief Election Commissioner leading to completion of a successful election year.

Occupied almost two third of the major headlines throughout the year and deserve a man of the years nomination over others like PVN, LK Advani, Sachin, Farooq or any other.

The significant era of election commision which started during his tenure will go a long way and have most significant impact in the development of our India. I do not see any match to the stature of Shri T N Seshan, in the current year and hence nominate him for the person of year.
