The Worst Films of 2008
It's been a pretty pathetic year, and that makes this a hard list to draw up. For, do we look at filmmakers who stay rooted in the 1980s and 1990s? Or at directors who continue to shoot gangsters at crazy angles and pretend to be cool? Or at superstar actors who milk winning formulae dry, by injuriously harming the audience with farcical slapstick or stupid actioners?

Yet, all the films referred to above -- we don't even need to go into names -- fall short of being hideous.
The 10 mentioned here are embarrassingly bad movies, movies we need to try and forget and move on and, someday, exorcise demons of by making movies brilliant enough to make up for them.

Ladies and gents, if you dare: here's this year's bottom of the Bollywood barrel:
10. Bombay To Bangkok
It's sad to watch a realistic, down-to-earth filmmaker fumble, and Nagesh Kukunoor completely devastated us with this tacky lets-go-shoot-in-Bangkok feature.
Shreyas Talpade tried hard to salvage the project where he could, but this movie stayed frustratingly in unnecessary B-movie mode. One just hopes Kukunoor didn't really direct this one.
