Is being a director as well as an actor a bit too tough?
It is. I am a director first, and I am happy to be one. I was entering a totally different territory. I became an actor because I didn't get anybody else, and not because I had this desire in me to be a hero or anything like that. I only want to make a good film.
Isn't it a risky proposition to star as the hero of a film that many producers discouraged you to make?
Movie-making itself is risky. As long as there is risk involved in what I do, I am not charged. It will be a whole new experience for the audience and I am sure they will love the film. It will be a good film.
