Remakes flood Kannada cinema
Karnataka State Government's decision to exempt remakes from entertainment tax has opened the floodgates for production of the same. Other than the films listed, many remakes will be announced in the course of the year. Here's a look at some of them:
Gaja
Directed by debutant director Maadesh, the film starred 'Challenging star' Darshan and Navya Nair in the lead. It is the remake of Telugu Hit Bhadra which was released two years ago.
The original was directed by Boyapaati Sreenu and produced by Dil Raju. It starred Ravi Teja and Meera Jasmine.
Gaja is the biggest block buster of 2008.
