Mansoor gave his cousin Aamir his first hit Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. They went on to make Akele Hum Akele Tum after a few years. But when Mansoor started on his next project Josh, Aamir refused.

The perfectionist that he was, Aamir wanted to play Shah Rukh Khan's role in the film. Since Mansoor had already decided on King Khan, he refused. The role finally went to Chandrachud Singh.

Recently, the cold vibes gave way to friendship, as Mansoor came on board on Aamir's home production, Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Naa.
