Dostana is quite a good-looking movie with really good-looking people in it, so what was the actors' relationship with a camera person like? Actors are there for the look. How much of this technicality do they understand?
Lot of actors understand. Whether they understand or not, what they see is there for them to decide. Today there is the video system -- although I hate it because people make hasty judgements about the movie based on the video.
Anyway, I've been lucky because I got a lovely call from John (Abraham) saying that he never looked as good as he was looking now. What he said really made me feel good.
Another compliment I got was from Mickey Contractor on Priyanka's (Chopra) look. He complimented me on the lighting and even asked me to teach him. He even told me that I have portrayed her best in Dostana. This coming from a person who has done 4-5 films with the actress, was very flattering.
The chemistry varies. Everybody will have their own unique chemistry. The comfort levels are different too. The more you work, the more comfortable you will get. You become easy going and you can afford to push the envelope more.
I really share a good rapport with Abhishek (Bachchan). When Dostana was over we were all joking and having fun with each other. That rapport flowed down from John to Priyanka. I had great chemistry with all three of them.
