Pithamagan (2003)
Ok, Vikram won the national award for his performance in Pithamgan. But Surya came out with such a refreshing and realistic performance that audiences were stunned. He played Sakthi, a cunning gamester bent on fleecing the public's money with various unscrupulous schemes.
Together with Laila, he put up a great show that garnered a slew of awards and had the satisfaction of delivering yet another hit.
