Who can forget May Day, super strong head of the all-female group of guards who watch over the villainous Max Zorin in 1985's A View to Kill.
Brilliantly played by Grace Jones, May Day makes several very determined efforts at making Double O Seven's job just a little bit harder.
When she isn't busy doing everything she can in her power (and she's very powerful thanks to steroids) to further Zorin's goal of destroying Silicon Valley, she's busy killing off Bond's allies and even comes close to drowning the seemingly imperishable spy.
Nevertheless, May Day is remembered for being one of the few villains to switch to the good side before meeting her doom.
How she meets her end
Towards the end of the film, she turns against her former lover and leader (Zorin) when she discovers his callous attitude to those who are loyal to him. She eventually perishes in her heroic attempt to foil Zorin's plan, but not before pleading with Bond to destroy Zorin.
