Starting from scratch
Even as a boy of impressionable age, movies excited Aditya or Adi, as he is fondly addressed by his inner circle, a great deal.
Having grown-up in father Yash Chopra's movie-making environment inspired him to a large extent as well.
After assisting him on bits of Chandni and Aaina, Aditya worked with the King of Romance on his close-to-the-heart project, Lamhe.
The poetic albeit unconventional notes of Lamhe failed to strike a chord with the audience, leaving an utterly disappointed father and son.
Thankfully, his next stint as assistant for Shah Rukh Khan, Juhi Chawla and Sunny Deol starrer-Darr proved to be a winning proposition. It also marked the beginning of a prosperous relationship between the Chopra and SRK.
