Like Aishwarya, Bipasha has also made prominent appearances in South Indian films. The second assignment of her film career was Telugu film, Takkari Donga, in 2001. Directed by Jayant Paranjee, the film also starred Mahesh Babu and Lisa Ray.

She stayed in touch with the South Indian film industry and later did an item number in the 2004 Tamil film, Sachein.
