The next year was also good for Camille as she got to star in the remake of the 1979 classic When A Stranger Calls, stepping into the prominent shoes of Carol Kane.
The serial-killer slasher film, updated by Con Air director Simon West, did relatively well at the box office despite being universally panned by critics, and gave Camille the kind of visibility she needed to step up to the plate with a big release.
