Ayesha Dharkar's character in the critically acclaimed film, The Terrorist, was drawn from the life of terrorist, Dhanu, who assassinated former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi in a suicide mission in 1991, and had connections with the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Ealam.
