A Tamil film for the international audience

US based Arun Vaidyanathan, a software professional turned filmmaker is coming with his first feature film -- Achamundu! Achamundu! in Tamil.

After dabbling in television for some time when he was in Chennai, Arun learnt the art of filmmaking at the New York Film Academy. After that, he went on to make short films -- eight so far -- with most of them winning international awards like As You Wish, which won accolades at the Lower East Side Film Festival in New York and Br(a)illiant, which won the Exile Award at the London Vimbam Film Festival.

Arun was also selected Mania TV’s 'Featured Film Maker' twice and his short film -- Stinking Cigar -- was selected as the 'Featured Film' which went on air for an entire week. His short Tamil film -- Thaniyoru Manidhanukku -- had the honour of featuring in three film festivals including IAAC, New York.
