On July 18, 1982, Priyanka Chopra was born to doctors Ashok Chopra and Madhu Akhauri in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. She would grow up to inundate us with marketing promotions for a film titled Love Story 2050.
Considering she was born into an Army background, Priyanka spent her formative years moving around the country. She then moved to America for a while, before returning to complete her education in India. Soon after joining Mumbai's Jai Hind College, she quit after being crowned Miss India World. After winning the Miss World title in 2000, a career in Bollywood was obviously just around the corner.
In 2001, Chopra debuted with a Tamil film called Thamizhan. In 2003, her Bollywood debut The Hero hit screens, followed by her first success, Andaaz, which got her a Filmfare award for Best Female Debut. A number of hits and misses later, she last appeared alongside boyfriend-cum-friend-cum-co-star Harman Baweja, in the aforementioned futuristic love story that failed to win anyone over.
She may still be icon by 2050 though. And that beats any other birthday gift.
