'Initially, I was worried because Aziz Mirza is so senior'

How does he explain scenes to you?

He is very easy-going. Initially, I was worried because he is so senior. I am only 27 and he is in his 60s. But he was great, the nicest director for any actor. He calls Vidya and me 'baccha'.

Whenever there was any serious, emotional or intense scenes, he would put his arm around my shoulder and take me for a walk. His films are more or less based on instances in his life. He would tell me how he would react in such situations. That would set the mood, and make the scene simpler for me.

How do you feel to be constantly compared with Shah Rukh Khan?

I faced that during Vivah. Everybody compared me with Salman Khan, as he always played [director Sooraj Barjatya's] Prem. People compared me with Shah Rukh when Aziz uncle cast me, as he has always worked with him. But I can never be compared to Salman, Shah Rukh or Aamir, as they are in a different league altogether. They have had years of experience but I have just started my career. I am sure Shah Rukh would be angry -- I would be if some newcomer was compared to me after years of stardom.

Tell us about your favourite scenes from Kismat Konnection.

There are many funny scenes in the film, especially my scenes with Vishal Malhotra. There is a scene where Vishal and I get ready to go to office to pick up our pay cheque. When we reach the office, we realise that our employer is dead. The situation is very funny. You must watch it to enjoy it.

There's another favourite -- an emotional scene just before the climax. It's a scene with Vidya, where I give a speech, a monologue. It's a very emotional and touching scene. As an actor, it is very important to get an opportunity to deliver such dialogues.
