Everybody expected the Gilli team of Dharani, Vijay and Trisha to be come out with another smashing hit.

But what a damp squib Kuruvi turned out to be! Even die-hard fans of Vijay were a tad disappointed with the film even though it made money thanks to the terrific opening Vijay commands.
