While Pachamarathanalil has earned mixed response from the critics and masses alike, it is doubtful if it will be a winner at the box office.

Still, it is a different attempt at filmmaking which could have done better business with better marketing.

Despite the heavy influence of Kannathil Muthamittal, there is still some freshness about Pachamarathanalil. However, Sreenivasan's attempt as a hero in this outing have not met with much enthusiasm.

Still, the film earns a place in this list for the director's honesty in handling a slightly 'different' theme in an era when such attempts are a rarity.
