I want to sing with different composers but AR Rahman has always been on the top of my list. I knew some technicians on his team and asked them to help out.

One day, I got a call asking me to come to Chennai. I was told that Gulzarsaab would be there as well, to write the lyrics of Guru. But I was already committed to Sab TV's show, Fame X. But they were very cooperative, and helped me. So I left for Chennai.

I recorded the song at night and then returned the next morning.

Working with AR Rahman was a great experience. He comes out as a reserved person but in real life, he is very humourous and chilled out. He does not interfere with your work. He has a lot of patience, and is very easy to work with. He loves improvisation in the recording studio.
