One of India's finest crafted comedies, Gulzar's take on A Comedy Of Errors is such a nuanced yet farcical masterpiece that the writer deserves virtually as much credit as the Bard -- at least in terms of staying fresh with what has become the most-overdone comic routine, doppelgangers frequently taking up sitcom space.
Deven Verma and Sanjeev Kumar were at the top of their form, as two pairs of man-and-manservant. Super stuff.
