Jeeva saw you in the Fair and Lovely ad and signed you for Unnale Unnale. If he had not spotted you, what would you have done?
I don't plan anything in life. I never planned to be in films but look where I am now. I was working for a MNC in charge of the whole of South India then and also doing some modelling during my free time. Modelling was a fantastic experience.
I never planned to play a game but I played for India as a member of the rugby team in 2001. I started playing the game only in 2000. In five months time, I was playing for the state and in a year's time, I was playing for the country. For six years, I played the game. After movies happened, I stopped playing rugby.
While in school, I was not into sports but into literary activities and debates.
What was your initial reaction when you were offered Unnale Unnale?
I was on on the field playing rugby and had just finished a match when I received a call from Jeeva Sir's office. I said, why not?
I don't let go of any opportunity. My feeling is that later on in life, I shouldn't regret having let go of an opportunity. Whenever I get an opportunity, I set a goal for myself -- whether it is modelling or rugby or films. I like to challenge myself in every field that I enter.
